LVAs

LVAs or Low Vision Aids are different aids which are needed by those who have real poor vision. They come in different form. Most commonly used ones are magnifiers which are very helpful in reading small prints. The most common cause of sight impairment is when the eyes develop wear and tear due to ageing, also called Age Related Macular Degeneration (ARMD). These people benefit the most from the magnifiers which come in different strengths and shapes.

Telescopic aids are helpful when someone is looking at a distance.

Most of the patients who have ARMD are elligible for a free eye test as well as a free aid.

Arrange an appointment today and get a free LV assessment and a Low Vision Aid.

Note.

We offer a wide range of service which includes Low Vision Aids (LVAs) and Minor Eye Conditions Scheme(MECS). Patients have to be registered with a GP in North Lancashire and some parts of West Yorkshire area.

Patients needing assessment for Minor Eye Ailments can just walk in for an appointment or be referred by their GPs.

Those needing Low Vision Aids can either walk in, be referred by their GPs, by the social services, by the local blind society or even by the hospital eye doctor for an appointment.

Please enquire if further information is needed.  As mentioned above. ^
